Work without LOVE is slavery

I woke up to rain slicked streets and gray skies, just another typical spring day in good ole Portland.  I have been trying to stay focused at work even though my industry and the company I work for have left me feeling pretty empty after 15 years.  I keep telling myself to just be happy that I have a job!  I get to work from home!  I have no dress code! But the truth is I crave something more.  Pardon me while I think out loud.
Inspired by Vix's famous denim vest ~here is mine!  It always gives dresses with an odd shape a better one.  Thanks for the tip my dear!  I found this crazy ass cat ring at Crafty Wonderland.  It's made by the lovely Maria of  The Locketship.
Wait until I show you the necklace, it deserves its own post!
My latest pair of KMK leggings.
My garden is coming along nicely!
I even extended this walking path.
I picked up this dress a few weeks back for a ten spot.  I love the colors!
My sweet neighbor gave me this.
I wanted to let you all know Ash is better and just went back outside yesterday.   Woo Hoo!!!
She better not cost me any more this year I have dresses to buy :)
I also bought these prints from Brenda Dunn a local Portland artist.  This is for the powder room.
 This hangs in the bedroom:)
I hope your week is humming along and thanks for making me forget how much I hated work at the start of this post.

Kiss Me Kitty!

This weekend I had the pleasure of working with Cristi for the debut of her leggings called Kiss Me Kitty at Crafty Wonderland.  It was a huge success!
The day before the show we set up her booth.  It all starts with this.
 and a bit of muscle.
and a lot of pink :)
Cristi had thought of everything and I have never worked with anyone this organized in my life!

Here is the booth before all the leggings.
I made us some beautiful kitty ears the night before:)
We goofed off before the show to try and relax a bit.
Cristi wore a really cool jacket, check out the sleeves!
It's hard to believe that we just met last November.
I feel like we have always been friends!
Showing off the stock:)  How killer are my sugar skulls!
  Cristi also makes arm warmers.
I have to say that not only did we stand out from the rest of the vendors but so did her leggings!  Everyone LOVED THEM!!!!!!

I was so proud of her.  She is a sweat shop of one and look at all of her beautiful merchandise!

Here is Cristi proud owner of Kiss Me Kitty!

 Some of her leg candy!

Chris's Mom came down to say hello along with some others.
Tammy showed up looking super cute!
The kitty crew:)
 The venue itself.
 Some of the cute customers:)

The best part about the day was seeing people run into the booth and get super excited about how beautiful the leggings looked.  Cristi kicked ass and I am so proud of her!!!!
After a long hard days work, these were much deserved:)
I can't wait until the next show!
and the one after that
and then the one after that, and that, and that and that......

The flowers love me back

Thanks everyone for all your kind words and advice about helping Ash get better.  She is on the mend for sure and finally eating on her own.  These pictures are from last week, when she was still fat and annoyed, I mean happy :)
Rarely do I wear tight little dresses but when I saw the print on this one and at only $8 I thought I would give it a go.
Now I wouldn't wear it out for pizza but I have to say I like this look on me!
I think it makes my butt look rather perky too:)
Boob shot in honor of our jet setting Queen Helga who is off visiting Sarah and dearly missed.
These mirrored skull ear rings were from my dear sweet Vix!
As promised here are a few shots of the backyard I have been slaving away in.
I have lots of pink in my hair and in my garden.

When I saw this blue version of the pink I already had I knew it was coming home with me.
It's still a work in progress but I am so happy to see flowers again.
Still on the fence about my garden box this year.  I'm tempted to fill it will dalias and wildflowers.
I finally bought myself a lilac tree.  I can't wait until it's 10 feet tall and the scent carries all the way into my bedroom.
I had strung these white lights on my deck but was bored with them so I went to town with a few sharpies, you can't tell how cool this looks at night but it's the color of sunsets!
This weekend Crafty Wonderland is finally here!  Cristi and I go set up her space tomorrow evening. I have made a lil something for us to wear but it's a surprise, let's just say all you cat ladies are going to want to make these too!  If your local to Portland come by the Kiss Me Kitty booth #212, I'd love to meet you in the flesh!
